Helayne and Frank Cohen / Folts
Helayne Cohen and Frank Folts are the artisans behind Birdsong Ceramics. Helayne and Frank each earned their B.F.A. in Ceramics from Syracuse University and then they moved to the Vineyard where they built a studio behind their home.
Together, they create beautiful wheelthrown pottery designed for daily life.
In addition to ceramics, Helayne also specializes in beadwork. Her original hand beaded barrettes are made from glass and faceted crystal beads strung onto French findings. The art of Birdsong Ceramics has been handmade on Martha’s Vineyard since 1987.
