Patrick McHugh
Born in Detroit, I enjoyed my childhood writing and illustrating comics for the school paper. A self-taught artist, I’ve been writing and producing children’s advertising for over 20 years. In college, I spent my summers on the Vineyard tending bar to pay for school. When our daughters were born, I shared my love of the island with them by writing and illustrating my first MUDWIG children’s book, The Grape Adventure, the story of a potbelly pig who turned purple from eating too many wild grapes. More MUDWIG books are on the way, plus I have line of silk screen wearables and bags featuring my original illustrations of MUDWIG and his crew. I live in Aquinnah with my wife, two daughters and two dogs. Someday, I hope to have a pet potbelly pig.
